Kitten Bread

Kitten Bread

Hello everyone! Thanks for always being present on this blog! Today I bring you a very funny recipe, it is bread shaped like a kitten. Well I see them as cats but I leave it to your imagination.

Those who have been on this blog for a long time already know that I am a Chemist and I have a 9-hour job every day, that’s why I don’t have much time to cook. Perhaps the best breads are the ones with the longest processes, I don’t know, but for those who don’t have time, recipes like these are ideal! You can make bread anyway!

Making bread is something beautiful, the smell of freshly baked homemade bread is the best thing in life. However sometimes bread making procedures can be cumbersome and time consuming. These buns only require 1 hour to rise before molding.

You can give them the shape you like the most!

With this recipe you get 12 buns, you can eat them stuffed with ham and cheese or spread them with jam (like the one I made in this post).

Making your own food is rewarding and much healthier too! These breads have no preservatives and are so delicious that you will eat them in a second!

Here is the recipe!

-400g of flour (whichever you prefer, I used 000).
-10g of baking powder.
-250ml of warm water (I heat it 30sec in microwave at maximum power).
-2 tablespoons of sugar.
-20g of butter at room temperature.
-1 teaspoon salt.
-sesame seeds for the eyes.

-Mix the yeast with the warm water and the sugar, let it rest for 10 min.
-In a bowl mix the rest of the ingredients except the butter and pour the preparation with yeast.
-Integrate by hand or with a mixer with adapter for dough, for 15 minutes.
-Place the dough in a bowl with a little flour on the base, cover and leave in a warm place until it doubles in volume (approx 1h).
-Cut the dough into 12 portions.
-Form balls with your hands and with a scissors make two cuts forming the ears, with the same scissors make two holes for the eyes.
-Place 1 sesame seed in each hole.
-Preheat the oven to 210 degrees for 20 min.
-In a baking pan with parchment paper, place the buns and bake until golden brown.

I hope you liked this recipe and try it at home! See you in the next post!.
